Unit Specification
The units specification can be found by clicking on the title bar above.
It has been decided that only part of the unit can be thought of as 'physics' and will be taught by a physics specialist. The remainder of the unit will be taught by the beauty lecturers.
There are 3 outcomes. The physics specialist will teach all of Outcome 1 and part of Outcome 2 (principles of electrotherapy treatments used in the beauty salon)
The Beauty Therapy lecturers will teach the second part of outcome 2 (effects of electrotherapy treatements.
Core Skills
There will be no assessment of core skills numeracy as part of the physics unit. There will be many occasions where you will use numerical skills but these will not be assessed.
